IOF storms Tura raids prisoner Qabha’s house

Monday 28-December-2020

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Sunday night Tura village southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank and raided several homes.

Local sources reported that IOF broke into the village after besieging it and raided the house of the prisoner Muhammad Marwah Qabha and his father’s house accompanied by police dogs.

Qabha’s family said that IOF took measurements of the house for the third time and ordered them to evacuate it to demolish it at any moment.

Special units of the occupation army known as “Mistaravim” arrested Qabha 36 last Thursday and abused his family members. IOF accused him of killing the settler Esther Horgan in the bushes near Jenin on 20/12/2020.

Manar Qabha’s wife said that IOF soldiers stormed the house accompanied by police dogs and detained her husband.

She explained that IOF soldiers dragged her husband from his room to the next room beat and kicked him all over his body and unleashed the police dogs on him.

Manar indicated that IOF withdrew after destroying the house and confiscating 20 mobile phones and golden jewelry. “After a while they came back and surrounded the entire family’s homes. Then they arrested me along with his second wife Donia Qabha and put us in the army jeep” she added.

Despite Qabha’s father’s age and his poor state of health the IOF soldiers beat him. “I suffer from diabetes rheumatism and many diseases but they did not allow me to take my medicine or even drink water despite my extreme thirst” the father said.

Qabha’s family denied the IOF accusation explaining that he works in that area and his presence there is normal but the IOF always tries to accuse the Palestinians.

They expressed their fear of demolishing the house as a result of the occupation’s policy of demolishing the houses of the perpetrators of the attacks. The house is owned by Muhannad Qabha’s brother and he has lived in it since 2003 under a 25-year lease.

Last week IOF announced that it had found the body of the settler Horgan in a bush west of Jenin. Last May Jenin witnessed the death of an Israeli soldier after a stone was thrown on his head from the highest building in the town of Ya’bad.
