The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Monday evening the Palestinian town of Qarawat Bani Hassan in Salfit accompanied by at least one military bulldozer.
The town mayor Ibrahim Assi affirmed that the IOF troops besieged two local homes belonging to the families of the prisoners Yahya Merhi and Youssef Assi who were allegedly involved in Ariel attack last April which resulted in the killing of a settlement security guard.
Israeli army affirmed that the military raid came as a prelude to demolish the family houses of those suspected in the shooting attack.
Earlier Monday the Israeli authorities approved the demolition of three houses two in Salfit and another in Jenin.
The third house belongs to the family of Raad Khazem who was killed in a clash with IOF troops after Dzengoff Street shooting attack.
The demolition was repeatedly postponed due to the visit of US President Joe Biden to the region.
