A number of Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas on Wednesday during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil.
Local activist Mohamed Awad said that the clashes broke out after the IOF stormed al-Dhahr area of the town near the illegal settlement of Karmei Tzur which was built on annexed Palestinian lands.
Awad said that soldiers showered local youths and houses in the area with tear gas and stun grenades and fired rubber bullets at them.
IOF carries out for various reasons daily raids on Palestinian areas in the West Bank and Jerusalem mostly to arrest citizens.
