IOF storms areas in W. Bank and J’lem seizes Palestinian’s car

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided homes and confiscated a Palestinian-owned car during campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

According to local sources Israeli police forces stormed Beit Ijza town in the northwest of Jerusalem and confiscated a car belonging to a Palestinian citizen during clashes with local youths on Friday evening.

The Israeli police also stormed Ras al-Amud neighborhood in Silwan district with no reported arrests.

In Nablus the IOF broke into and ransacked homes in Azmut village and withdrew later without making arrests.

One young man was reportedly taken prisoner by the IOF at a makeshift checkpoint near Za’tara village in southern Nablus. He was identified as Saleh Abu Zaid a Birzeit University student.

The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank with no reported arrests.

In a separate incident a horde of extremist Jewish settlers escorted by soldiers assaulted a number of Palestinian citizens in as-Sahel area between the villages of al-Mughayir and Turmus Ayya in the east of Ramallah.

Local sources said that local residents rushed to as-Sahel area after settlers set fire to swaths of privately-owned agricultural land and scuffled with them in the presence of Israeli soldiers.

The sources added that the same settlers wreaked havoc on five olive trees smashed windows of a Palestinian-owned car and blocked the agricultural road leading to as-Sahel area.
