The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) accompanied by a group of settlers stormed on Friday evening Kifl Haris town in Salfit province.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that settlers and IOF soldiers raided the town broke into religious shrines and performed Talmudic rituals before leaving hours later.
They pointed out that the pace of the Israeli incursions into Palestinian towns and shrines has escalated in the recent days due to the Jewish holidays.
The residents of Kifl Haris suffer greatly from the settlers’ repeated incursions and claims that the shrines in the town are the graves of their prophets.
Meanwhile in Qalqilya province IOF soldiers were intensively deployed in the vicinity of Azzun town.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that eight Israeli military vehicles were stationed in the olive fields between the towns of Azzun and Ezbet al-Tabib and ambushes were set up at dawn hours Saturday.
The IOF also erected a military checkpoint at the western entrance of Azzun and interrogated a number of citizens who were passing in the area.
According to the local sources these checkpoints were erected in view of the constant clashes between the Azzun inhabitants and the IOF-backed settlers on the main street adjacent to the town.
