IOF suppresses peaceful march in Bil’in

Friday 28-October-2016

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) suppressed Friday Bil’in peaceful march to the west of Ramallah while clashes broke out in Arqa town west of Jenin.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces brutally attacked peaceful protesters in Bil’in town with tear gas bombs after they managed to raise the Palestinian flag over the Israeli Apartheid Wall.

The anti-settlement march started from the local mosque in the town heading to the Apartheid Wall.

During the march the participants held banners condemning Israeli settlement policy.

A similar march was organized in Kafer Qaddum town in protest against Israeli continued closure of the town’s main street for 14 years.

The march kicked off after Friday prayers amid massive participation of local residents and foreign activists.

Meanwhile clashes broke out in Arqa town west of Jenin between local youths and Israeli forces.

The clashes erupted when IOF soldiers stormed the town amid heavy firing of teargas bombs and restricted the people’s movement.

Several teargas suffocation cases were reported during the clashes.
