The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired on Tuesday morning a volley of tear gas canisters at Palestinian farmers in an agricultural area in the southeast of the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to local sources the IOF launched a teargas attack on farmers with no reason as they were working their lands in an-Najjar area in the east of Khuza’a town in Khan Yunis.

The IOF attack forced the farmers to leave their fields and return home.

Yesterday cultivated fields caught fire after the IOF carried out a similar attack on farmers in the east of Gaza City.

Under an inhumane siege the Israeli army keeps attacking — sometimes injuring or killing — farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis with no regard for any mediated ceasefire understandings over Gaza or even the international law.
