IOF teargases journalists arrests two of them in Bethlehem

Sunday 17-November-2019

Dozens of Palestinian journalists on Sunday morning suffered from their exposure to tear gas when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked a peaceful sit-in held in Bethlehem in solidarity with journalist Muaadh Amarneh.

According to eyewitnesses the IOF showered the journalists with volleys of tear gas and stun grenades after they rallied at the northern entrance to Bethlehem.

The IOF also arrested journalists Hamad Taqateqa and Ahmed Tannouh who participated in the rally.

The journalists held the rally to express their solidarity with journalist Muaadh Amarneh who lost one of his eyes after an Israeli soldier opened fire at him as he was covering clashes last Friday with local youths in Surif town west of al-Khalil.
