IOF troops arrest 45 Palestinians in one village

Jenin- Large numbers of IOF troops at dawn Wednesday raided the village of Kufr Dan to the west of Jenin city and launched a large-scale arrest campaign while searching for Palestinian resistance activists that ended in rounding up 45 civilians including elderly people and teenagers.

Locals reported that the IOF soldiers broke into many homes and arrested relatives of the wanted activists and alleged supporters of the Hamas Islamic Jihad and Fatah Movements.

The sources noted that three brothers all teachers were among the arrested all allegedly Hamas supporters along with fathers of Khaled Ashur and Alaa Masoud both wanted Jihad activists to pressure their sons into giving themselves up. The soldiers wreaked havoc in both homes.

The soldiers arrested brother of Ibrahim Abed an AMB activist who was previously wounded three times in encounters with those soldiers. They also arrested Mohammed Salah 26 another alleged AMB activist along with a number of farmers including three brothers.

In other West Bank areas the IOF units kidnapped a young man in Al-Khalil city and fired teargas canisters at school students in Ethna village west of the city and rampaged through a number of houses and shops in the town.

Three other Palestinians were detained shortly after midnight Tuesday in Nablus and its nearby Balata refugee camp during an IOF incursion.

The Hebrew radio further reported that 100 Palestinian West Bank workers were rounded up in the green line (Palestinian lands occupied since 1948) for lack of work permits.

IOF troops on Tuesday night raided the village of Yasuf east of Salfit city firing bullets in the air and using sonic bombs against civilian gatherings and a similar IOF atrocity was reported east of Qalqilia where soldiers forced Palestinian citizens to strip for bodily search in extremely cold weather.
