GAZA (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday advanced into the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanun amidst indiscriminate firing and bulldozed agricultural lands eyewitnesses reported.

They added that the IOF soldiers boarding a number of armored vehicles and tanks escorted huge bulldozers that went on the rampage in Palestinian cultivated lands.

The witnesses reported that Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the invading units and hit an IOF jeep with an RPG before clashing with the soldiers.

IOF soldiers also protected bulldozers in Beit Orif south of Nablus district while bulldozing 18 dunums of cultivated lands in two spots in the village.

RAFAH (PIC)– Three IOF tanks and a military bulldozer on Saturday advanced in the Nahda suburb east of Rafah city at the southernmost tip of the Gaza Strip and bulldozed Palestinian cultivated lands.

Eyewitnesses told PIC correspondent that the IOF troops advanced amidst random shooting for 300 meters deep into the suburb and installed a number of sand barricades in the area.

The IOF soldiers a week earlier launched a similar incursion into that same area during which vast areas of lands were damaged and many Palestinian citizens underwent field interrogation after which a number of them were rounded up.

Meanwhile the armed wings of the Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian resistance committees on Saturday claimed joint responsibility for blasting a 30-kilogram device in an IOF Hummer east of Kissufim to the northeast of Khan Younis.

They said that their fighters engaged another jeep that came to tow the damaged one which was set ablaze for ten minutes.

Witnesses reported that four IOF armored vehicles arrived to the scene of the attack amidst indiscriminate shooting advanced 200 meters east of Qarara and combed the area.
