NABLUS (PIC)– IOF soldiers launched an arrest campaign in lines of Palestinian citizens in Nablus city and its districts at an early hour on Tuesday after wreaking havoc in their homes.
Local sources said that the troops stormed Ein refugee camp west of Nablus but did not arrest anyone while in Balata and Asker refugee camps the soldiers kidnapped 13 young men all from Asker.
Other IOF units broke into Assira village north of Nablus late last night and kidnapped Asem Hamadne a known affiliate of the PFLP from his home.
Meanwhile 50 reservist commanders of the Israeli army asked premier Ehud Olmert in a message published in the Hebrew media on Tuesday to resign.
The message which preceded the publication of the Winograd report on Israel’s war on Lebanon said that senior army officers paid a price for the mistakes in the Lebanon war while Olmert who is at the head of the political echelon in Israel refuses to bear any responsibility.
They affirmed that their demand was not based on political considerations but rather was objective.
Lebanese Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah whose party was mainly targeted in the IOF invasion had announced a few days ago that his party’s’ militias are in possession of remains of Israeli soldiers killed in that war.
