IOF troops kidnap 20 Palestinians Qassam fighters survive assassination attempt

NABLUS (PIC)– IOF troops at dawn Thursday kidnapped 20 Palestinians in various West Bank cities and villages including the commander of the Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Jenin the Hebrew radio reported.

It said that IOF troops rounded up the “wanted” Palestinians in Tulkarm Jenin Nablus Ramallah Bethlehem and Jericho. The broadcast claimed that three pistols were found in the possession of one of the arrested Palestinians in Tulkarm.

In Jenin a special IOF unit kidnapped Samer Al-Saadi 23 who is described as a Quds Brigades commander after infiltrating into the city’s refugee camp in plain clothes mounting a Mercedes with Palestinian plates.

Meanwhile two Palestinian students were wounded in Kober village north of Ramallah during an IOF landing operation on Wednesday.

Villagers said that students threw stones at the IOF paratroopers who responded by opening fire at the students and wounding two of them Younis Hosni 17 whose condition is described as serious and Baraa Abdul Jalil 15 who was hit in his foot.

The Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas Movement said that a group of its fighters survived an Israeli assassination attempt east of Khan Younis south of the Gaza Strip.

Qassam sources told PIC correspondent on Thursday that the group members were guarding an advanced position when an IOF reconnaissance plane fired at least one missile at them but the missile missed them and they escaped unharmed.

The armed wing said that its fighters fired 15 mortar shells at IOF armored vehicles in the same area.

Qassam members blasted two explosive devices at dawn Thursday in an IOF foot patrol east of Beit Hanun north of Gaza.

A Qassam member was killed at a late hour on Wednesday while on a special “Jihad mission” Qassam sources told PIC correspondent.

They identified the martyr as Mohammed Dhahir 24 and added that he was digging a tunnel when it collapsed over him. They said that the tunnel was being dug in preparation for any IOF incursion in Rafah adding that a rescue operation took several hours and that at the end his body was recovered.

The Quds Brigades in Gaza also claimed responsibility for firing four homemade missiles at Sderot settlement to the north of the Strip on Wednesday night. The same armed wing had said it fired ten similar missiles at Sderot earlier on Wednesday.

Meanwhile the Hamas prisoners in occupation jails affirmed that their Movement would never grant a free calm to the Zionist occupation government.
