IOF troops kidnap 45 Palestinians within two days

TULKARM (PIC)– IOF troops last night and at dawn Wednesday rounded up 10 Palestinians in various West Bank areas bringing the number of kidnapped civilians to 45 in less than 48 hours.

The IOF soldiers at dawn Tuesday abducted 35 citizens in a clear sign of escalating arrests of Palestinian civilians and at a time the Israeli government says it will release 250 Palestinian prisoners.

Several IOF incursions were reported in Nablus and its refugee camps along with Bethlehem district and Al-Khalil during which indiscriminate fire was opened at Palestinian buildings.

Meanwhile Palestinian armed wings claimed responsibility for launching a number of home made rockets and mortar shells at IOF vehicles and military positions in Nahal Oz north of the Gaza Strip and Karm Abu Salem south of the Strip.

The Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement said that it managed to fire a mortar shell for the first time at Sderot settlement.

In an unrelated development the IOA last night released Sheikh Mohammed Al-Kharof 44 after six months of administrative detention without trial or charge.

Kharof who works as a paramedic at a hospital in Al-Khalil is a father of four children and was kidnapped while on his way home. He was previously held in occupation jails on charges of membership in the Hamas Movement.
