GAZA (PIC)– IOF troops shot at and wounded a Palestinian citizen in northern Gaza Strip area of Beit Hanun then kidnapped him according to local sources.
PA health ministry said that its ambulance teams could not reach the wounded citizen whose name was not known yet and that the IOF soldiers took him to a hospital in the green line Palestinian lands occupied in 1948.
Meanwhile the Palestinian journalists’ bloc denounced the IOF shooting at AP photographer Nasser Al-Shiyukhi on Friday while covering clashes between Palestinian stone-throwers and those IOF soldiers in Al-Khalil city.
It described the shooting as a new “crime” on the part of the IOF troops aimed at blocking any coverage of those soldiers’ “brutal” treatment of the unarmed Palestinian civilians under occupation.
Wishing Shiyukhi speedy recovery the bloc also called on international human rights organizations and other societies championing freedom of expression and opinion to end their “silence vis-à-vis IOF crimes against journalists in Palestine”.
