QALQILIA (PIC)– Special units of the IOF troops rounded up Monday under-secretary of the Awkaf (endowment) ministry in the PA caretaker government Anwar Maraeba east of the West Bank city of Qalqilia Palestinian security sources affirmed.
The sources added that the soldiers surprisingly obstructed Maraeba car as he was returning home and ordered him to get off before handcuffing and leading him to an unknown location.
The kidnapping of the PA official came few hours after IOF troops abducted Palestinian lawmaker Ahmad Mubarak of Hamas less than one month after releasing him.
Despite the incident spokesman of Hamas in the city Yasser Mohammed affirmed that list of his Movement’s candidates including those under the independent quota for the next PA unity government was ready.
He also expected Fatah faction to conclude deliberations on its candidates and submit its list on Tuesday at the most adding that a number of ministers in the outgoing PA government would retain their posts for the outstanding performance they have displayed in administering their ministries.
