JERICHO (PIC)– IOF troops in separate incidents on Tuesday kidnapped more than 20 Palestinians in various parts of the West Bank including a Palestinian who was fired at and wounded by the occupation troops in Jericho.
IOF sources said that the wounded Palestinian was being interrogated by Israeli intelligence for claims he had participated ten years ago in an attack in which an Israeli settler was wounded.
An IOF spokesman told the Israeli radio that 20 Palestinians were rounded up half of whom were allegedly affiliated with Hamas Movement including nine arrested in the village of Anabta east of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem.
He said that seven Palestinians were detained in Azzun village Qalqilia district for attacking IOF units and Israeli settlers.
The IOF troops raided Nablus at dawn Tuesday and kidnapped three Palestinians after encircling a building west of the city including two AMB activists.
Nasr Al-Kharaz one of the AMB commanders in Nablus denounced the IOF kidnapping of those activists saying that such kidnappings at the hands of occupation forces never stopped despite assurances on the part of the emergency government of Salam Fayyad to the contrary.
In the Gaza Strip the armed wing of Hamas renewed firing mortar shells at the Karm Abu Salem crossing south of the Strip afternoon Monday while the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement fired a missile at Askalan and another at Sderot in the 1948 occupied lands in response to continued IOF escalation of crimes against the Palestinian people.
