NABLUS (PIC)– The IOF troops have gunned down Qassam resistance fighter Yousef Shaker Al-Asi 22 in the Palestinian refugee camp of Balata east of Nablus city in a pre-dawn raid on the city Sunday.
Local sources and eyewitnesses affirmed that Asi was on his way to wake his relatives up so as to eat their Sohor (food eaten before dawn during the fasting month of Ramadhan) when Israeli soldiers surprised and peppered him with their bullets before fleeing the place.
Asi was rushed to the city’s hospital where he underwent a number of surgeries but he was announced dead few minutes later the sources added.
Hamas Movement mourned Asi affirming that he was one of its cadres and leading the battle against the Israeli occupation in the city. “He (Asi) engaged them (IOF troops) in fierce clashes before he was martyred” a statement issued by Hamas and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC underlined.
The armed wing of the PFLP the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades also mourned Asi and described him as one of Hamas’s “brave” fighters affirming he had fought to the last drop of his blood.
The Brigades also underlined that they carried out a number of military attacks on IOF troops’ positions in the West Bank in coordination with Asi’s group.
Hamas confirmed the military coordination between its armed wing the Qassam Brigades and the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades against the IOF troops in the West Bank.
According to the statement the IOF killing of Hamas’s cadres won’t weaken the Movement’s military strength and determination.
The Movement furthermore affirmed that the fall of Hamas’s cadres as martyrs in the battlefield against the IOF troops induces the Movement’s cadres to continue their path of resistance against the occupation till occupied Palestine is fully liberated and attained independence.
In the nearby Biet Ein Al-Maa refugee camp the IOF troops shot and wounded Palestinian citizen Ayman Ali Mabrouk in the back and blocked a Palestinian ambulance vehicle transporting him to the hospital before forcing the wounded Palestinian out of the vehicle and leading him to an unidentified location.
The IOF troops’ encroachment left a number of Palestinian citizens injured in the two refugee camps.
Another Palestinian citizen was shot dead by the IOF troops in Al-Khalil city and his brother was seriously wounded when Israeli soldiers shot at a group of Palestinians in the city.
The victim was identified as Baha Al-Ajloni 20 as local hospital sources affirmed that Ajloni was in critical condition and was announced dead on arrival.
Also in Al-Khalil city Palestinian child Hassan Erfaeyya was deliberately hit by a speeding car driven by an Israeli settler from the Kiryat Erba settlement which was built on usurped Palestinian lands in the heart of city.
The child was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment while the Israeli driver fled the crime scene and headed to the settlement.
