IOF troops ransack Hamas leader’s home

TULKARM (PIC)– IOF soldiers in a pre-dawn raid on Monday ransacked the home of Sheikh Anwar Omair one of the Hamas Movement’s political leaders in the village of Bala’a east of Tulkarm city in a futile bid to arrest him locals reported.

Eyewitnesses said that occupation forces mounting 15 army vehicles stormed the western suburb of the village at 01.00 am and broke into Sheikh Anwar’s home who has been wanted for those troops for several years.

The soldiers threw sonic bombs inside the house and smashed doors and furniture while violently searching the house of Sheikh Anwar who was not at home.

The undisciplined forces wreaked havoc in other homes in the suburb forcing their inhabitants into the open cold weather.

Soldiers frequently storm the Sheikh’s home terrorize his family and children and threaten to kill him if he did not give himself up.

The 45-year-old Sheikh was previously arrested and held in occupation jails for several times. He was among the deportees to Marj Al-Zuhur in south Lebanon in the early nineties of the past century.

IOF troops also on Monday arrested two Palestinians in Marah Rabah village south of Bethlehem in line with their daily arrests of West Bankers which brought the number of Palestinians held in Israeli occupation jails to nearly 11000.
