IOF troops redeploy but contend incursion not over

NABLUS (PIC)– IOF troops Monday night re-deployed in Nablus after two days of incursion into the largest West Bank city that witnessed the murder of a Palestinian injury of his son and kidnapping 50 others.

 

Inhabitants of the city are waiting for an IOF return especially when a number of undercover units were still deployed in the city.

Medical and municipal teams started checking the areas where the incursion focused in a bid to check out the inhabitants and to repair any damage.

Director of education in the city Ahmed Dola declared that pupils should return to classes as of Tuesday after they were called off since Sunday in view of the IOF military operation.

The IOF campaign started pre dawn Sunday and involved about 100 army vehicles and air cover that concentrated on the Old City and Makhfiyya suburb west of the city. The IOF soldiers imposed a curfew on most suburbs and broke into many homes in search of “wanted activists” and an alleged “explosives factory”.

A man was killed in IOF shooting while in his home and his son was injured while tens were rounded up. A number of homes were completely destroyed and others were badly damaged in the incursion.
