IOF troops round up six Palestinians overnight including woman

Sunday 3-December-2006

Ramallah – IOF troops overnight Saturday rounded up six Palestinians including a woman on allegation she was a member of the AMB the armed wing of the Fatah Movement an IOF spokesman said Sunday.

The Hebrew radio quoted the spokesman as saying that the woman was arrested in Ramallah district while the other five were rounded up in Bethlehem and Al-Khalil districts claiming they were members in resistance factions.

Earlier Saturday IOF soldiers arrested a 17-year-old Palestinian boy in Bil’in to the west of Ramallah city at the pretext he was throwing stones at an army patrol.

The Palestinian struggle front on Saturday charged the IOF troops with launching systematic daily arrest campaigns in the West Bank.

The Palestinian faction pointed out that the IOF soldiers arrest 20 to 30 individuals on daily basis noting that the troops routinely go on the rampage in homes of those arrested.

The Palestinian prisoner’s club meanwhile accused IOF soldiers with stealing cash and golden ornaments to the tune of 4000 dollars from one of the homes in Bethlehem city on Friday night after arresting one of the family members.

The club urged the legal and human rights organizations to work for the release of the captured youth and for the return of the stolen money and jewelry.
