KHAN YOUNIS (PIC)– The Zionist war of extermination against Palestinians takes many forms; the economic siege the apartheid wall home demolitions uprooting trees and now the burning of trees and crops.
On Thursday IOF troops opened fire at Palestinian at Palestinian fields in the Khan Younis district in the southern Gaza Strip causing the wheat crops of one field to catch fire. The strong wind caused the fire to spread rapidly burning wheat crops in an are of about 10 Dunums (1 Hectare) of land belonging to the families of Abu Latifa and Abu Shahin.
Civil defense teams could not reach the fields quickly enough to tackle the fire because of the intensive firing by IOF troops.
There also reports on Friday afternoon of IOF troops setting fire to another crops field in the village of Khuza to the east of Khan Younis.
A couple of days ago Jewish extremist settlers burned olive groves in two villages near the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem destroying hundreds of trees.
