NABLUS (PIC)– Large numbers of IOF troops accompanied by more than 25 military vehicles and bulldozers have stormed the West Bank city of Nablus and the nearby Balata and Beit Ein Al-Ma’a refugee camps Tuesday night local sources affirmed.
According to the sources the IOF troops raided the city from the north and the west before stationing at the city’s stadium and occupying a number of Palestinian homes beside it.
Sounds of heavy shooting and bombing shattered the silence of the night indicating fierce trading of gunfire between the invaders on the one hand and Palestinian resistance fighters on the other hand.
A number of eyewitnesses confirmed that the fighters succeeded in detonating a number of planted roadside bombs near the intruding vehicles.
At dawn Wednesday another group of IOF soldiers sneaked into the city from the east and headed to the nearby Balata refugee camp where they ransacked Palestinian homes and wreaked havoc in them terrorizing sleeping children and women.
On Tuesday Palestinian youth Othman Asi 22 of Salfit city was rounded up at an IOF roadblock while returning to his house. He was handcuffed and blindfolded before taken to an undisclosed place.
More barriers were installed by those troops at a number of strategic junctions across the West Bank including Tulkarm and Jenin cities among other places making it difficult for Palestinian employees and students to reach their workplaces and universities.
However the IOF troops’ incursions didn’t pass easy as Palestinian resistance fighters guarding the Jenin refugee camp ambushed an Israeli military patrol moderately wounding an IOF serviceman. Spokesman of the IOF acknowledged the ambush and the soldier’s injury.
In the densely populated Gaza Strip Palestinian resistance fighters from the Quds Brigades armed wing of the Islamic Jihad and the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades armed wing of Fatah unleashed a number of homemade missiles at IOF positions and installations inside the Strip and in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands.
The Quds Brigades took the credit for unleashing two shells of homemade 100mm mortars at IOF position in the Faraheen area east of Khan Younis city south of the Strip Tuesday night.
The AMB for their part declared they successfully launched one upgraded Buraq missile at IOF installations in Ashkelon city in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands which they affirmed accurately hit the target.
The two armed wings affirmed that the missile attacks were in retaliation to the relentless IOF aggressions against the unarmed Palestinian civilians.
At dawn Tuesday IOF special units seriously wounded the AMB leader in Nablus city Ahmad Sanakra who managed to elude arrest despite his deep wounds.
