NABLUS (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces shot at Palestinian villagers south of Nablus district on Monday and wounded a 16-year-old boy with two bullets in the hip and thigh medical sources said.
The sources said that Ramah Khalil’s injuries were moderate to light and that he was receiving treatment in Nablus government hospital.
A number of IOF patrols had stormed the Qabalan village and were confronted by stone-throwing youths on the main road adjacent to the village.
The international solidarity movement for its part reported that Israeli settlers beat up three children in Juwa village near Al-Khalil city.
It said that IOF soldiers handed the three children to six masked settlers who kicked and beat the unaware children.
The IOF troops rounded up five Palestinians in Nablus city and its refugee camp at dawn Tuesday local sources reported.
Israeli press said that 19 Palestinians were detained in various West Bank cities over the past 24 hours.
The Israeli army radio said that war minister Ehud Barak had ordered the closure of the West Bank as of Monday evening till next Saturday evening.
It said that the West Bank was sealed on the occasion of the Jewish Passover feast to ward off any possible Palestinian attack during the holidays.
In occupied Jerusalem locals reported that large numbers of IOF troops started on Tuesday to evacuate the home of Hussam Dwaikat by force in preparation for flattening it.
Dwaikat had driven a bulldozer in the occupied city’s streets killing three Israelis and wounding many others.
The locals reported that Dwaikat’s mother fainted following heated arguments between her husband and the occupation soldiers.
