NABLUS (PIC)– IOF undercover soldiers ambushed a group of Palestinian resistance activists in the Old City of Nablus at dawn Wednesday and killed one of them while another was wounded in his feet.
PIC correspondent reported that the IOF soldiers surprised the group of activists believed to be affiliated with the AMB the armed wing of Fatah faction and fired intensively at them killing Ammar Al-Anbosi 23 on the spot and moderately wounding Sufian Abu Qandil.
Local sources quoted witnesses as saying that the IOF soldiers were wearing the uniform of the PA police and immediately fled the scene of the crime after the assassination.
They added that large numbers of IOF troops then advanced into Nablus from a number of axes and deployed in the vicinity of hospitals in the city in an attempt to kidnap the wounded fighter Abu Qandil but Palestinian sources affirmed that he was evacuated to a “safe place” for treatment.
Witnesses affirmed that explosive devices were detonated in IOF armored vehicles while passing near the Watani Hospital in downtown Nablus.
