IOF uproots 400 olive trees near Bethlehem

Monday 9-March-2020

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday uprooted hundreds of Palestinian-owned trees in Wadi Fukin village west of the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Local sources said that the IOF uprooted about 400 olive trees owned by the Palestinian citizen Mohammed al-Horoub.

Last week they noted Israeli settlers chopped off 800 olive trees in the nearby town of al-Khader.

Wadi Fukin is located 10 km to the west of Bethlehem City. Since 1967 Israeli occupation forces have confiscated thousands of dunums of the village’s land for settlement construction.
