Al-Wafa Charity Cookery has started a campaign to provide Palestinian refugees from Syria in the Lebanese Bekaa Valley and in Yarmouk Camp among other areas south of Damascus with Iftar meals (evening meals when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset).
Al-Wafa Cookery staff members distributed Iftar meals made up of rice chicken and fruits to 30 Palestinian families displaced from Syria in Bekaa.
150 meals were also handed over to Palestinian families deported from Yarmouk to Yalda Babila and Beit Sahem south of Damascus.
According to the campaigners the move makes part of underway attempts to alleviate the crisis endured by the displaced and stranded Palestinian communities in war-ragged Syria and in Lebanon.
