As 2022 comes to an end the occupied holy city of Jerusalem has witnessed an unprecedented Israeli aggression and Judaization policies over the year.
The systematic Judaization policy included settler incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacks on Christian and Islamic sanctities.
Palestinian monitors affirmed that the settler incursions included performing Jewish prayers and Talmudic rituals such as offering sacrifices blowing the trumpet and publishing provocative nude pictures of Israeli women in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Tension has been rising high in Occupied Jerusalem as Israeli authorities continue to impose control over its holy places while Palestinians continue to confront Israeli Judaization attempts.
Israel intensifies efforts to Judaize Jerusalem
Occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque have witnessed an escalated level of settler incursions under police protection.
The Israeli government provides indirect financial support to settler far-right organizations to avoid legal prosecution.
Suhail Khalilah director of the Settlement Monitoring Unit at the ARIJ Institute also pointed out that there is an official and unofficial support to the settler attacks in Al-Aqsa Mosque where settlers are awarded for taking part in the daily incursions into the holy site.
Speaking to the PIC reporter Khalilah affirmed that rewards up to 500 shekels are given to any settler participating in the daily attacks on Al-Aqsa.
The past decade witnessed growing activities of these Jewish organizations as some of its leaders were appointed in the government while others were elected in the Knesset he added.
For his part Jamal Amr an expert in Jerusalem and settlement affairs affirmed that the far-right Jewish organizations are strongly linked with the government.
The Israeli government is using these Jewish groups as a cover to carry out its Judaization plans he told the PIC reporter.
There are 48 settler organizations receiving tens of millions of dollars from the US and Israeli authorities to carry out the daily incursions into the Mosque amid total Arab and Islamic silence the Palestinian expert added.
