Abeer Odeh the Palestinian Minister of National Economy along with representatives of industrial and commercial syndicates in addition to Private institutions inaugurated on Sunday the Pal-products Expo 2017 which is organized by PalCircless firm for export services and sponsored by Jawwal telecommunication company.
Under the theme “Let 2017 be the year of national products” the exposition is going to last for four days for exhibiting 580 products from 60 Palestinian firms of different sectors.
Odeh underlined that local industry is a key pillar of national economy. She pointed out that the percentage of expenditure on national goods does not exceed 25% of consumption expenditure value.
For his part the chairman of the General Union of Palestinian Industries Bassam Walweel announced a ten-year industry development plan that will offer 120000 job opportunities.
The chairman of the Palestinian Federation of the Union of Chambers of Commerce Agriculture and Industry Khalil Rizk called for exerting efforts by both public and private sectors in order to build national economy resources. He also urged for the establishment of craft industrial zones and the support of small and medium sized projects as well as women’s productive projects.
