The Israeli military court in Ofer military camp adjourned on Tuesday the trial of the Palestinian MP Samira Halaiqa to next Sunday after an indictment was filed against her.
According to the PIC reporter Halaiqa’s trial was adjourned on Tuesday for the fourth time in a row.
Halaiqa’s family told the PIC reporter that the delay came upon the request of the lawyer to study the indictment.
They said that the accusations are based on Halaiqa’s cultural social and political activities as well as her Facebook comments.
The family affirmed that the activities mentioned in the indictment do not violate the law but are normal activities for a member in the Palestinian Legislative council adding that these charges were meant to justify her detention which is political par excellence.
