Indonesia dispatches emergency fuel tank to besieged Gaza

Monday 4-February-2019

An Indonesian-funded fuel tank has been dispatched to the blockaded Gaza Strip as part of an emergency mission to the enclave.

Indonesia’s ACT foundation for emergency aids said the urgent shipment carries 112000 liters of diesel to help operate power generators at eight hospitals in Gaza for a period of two weeks.

Director of Rawad Association for Community Development Rabah Bakhit said the move has seen the day in response to the acute dearth in fuel supplies in the besieged coastal enclave of Gaza where thousands of patients have been left without treatment.

Bakhit hailed the Indonesian people and government for standing by the Palestinian people saying government hospitals in Gaza need over 300000 fuel liters per every single month to operate power generators.
