Wednesday 27-February-2019

A delegation of 33 Indonesian activists and volunteers entered the besieged Gaza Strip on Tuesday evening in an attempt to boost charity projects in the impoverished enclave.

The Indonesian envoy was received by the Palestinian Foreign Ministry’s Secretary Ghazi Hamad Public Relations and Media Chief at the ministry Husam al-Dajani the official in charge of the Rafah protocol file Ahmed Mousa along with a delegation of the Palestinian Health Ministry led by Ashraf Abu Mahadi.

The Indonesian delegation told reporters that they will start preliminary procedures to pave the way for the construction of two others floors at the Indonesian Hospital north of the blockaded Gaza Strip.

Around two million Palestinians in the blockaded Gaza Strip have been grappling with a tough siege enforced by the Israeli occupation for 12 years running turning the enclave into what has become known as the world’s “largest open-air prison.”
