Injured Palestinian child succumbs to his wounds

Wednesday 23-May-2018

A Palestinian child died on Wednesday evening from wounds he sustained during clashes at the northern entrance to al-Bireh city in the West Bank last week.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the evening announced the death of the 15-year-old Uday Abu Khalil a resident of Ain Sinya village north of Ramallah.

Abu Khalil was shot in the abdomen during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces eight days ago. He was first transferred to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah then he was taken to al-Najah Hospital in Nablus where he died.

The Palestinian territories have been witnessing daily clashes between the Palestinian citizens and the Israeli occupation forces since the US president Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Tension has escalated following the US embassy relocation from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on the 70th anniversary of the Nakba.
