Several Palestinians were injured on Friday noon after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled rallies in various areas of the West Bank that were launched to denounce the settlement activities and violations of the occupation.
The Red Crescent Society reported that its ambulance crews treated the injury of a citizen by rubber-coated metal bullets and dozens of people who suffered breathing problems after IOF suppressed the weekly march rejecting the settlements in Beit Dajan east of Nablus.
After the Friday prayer the march was launched from the center of the village towards the seized lands where IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the civilians.
Meanwhile the IOF attacked the weekly march against settlements in Beita town south of Nablus.
Hundreds of people performed Friday prayer at the outskirts of Mount Sobeih which is threatened by settlements plans and participated in a rally towards the mountain.
The IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the marchers.
In the morning IOF bulldozed one of the roads leading to Mount Sobeih to obstruct the arrival of demonstrators to the mountain.
In Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil IOF quelled a protest against the settlement expansion and the repeated attacks by settlers. Three citizens and foreign solidarity activists were arrested.
The IOF soldiers attacked citizens and foreign solidarity activists participating in the rally and fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs at them.
Dozens of participants suffered breathing difficulties and large areas of the citizens’ agricultural lands were burned due to the IOF intensive firing of teargas canisters.
Hundreds of people and landowners performed Friday prayer on their lands in the Umm al-Shaqhan area located between al-Tuwani and Shaab al-Butm east of Yatta which is threatened with confiscation.
