Injuries during IOF quelling of Friday marches in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday quelled several marches in various areas of the West Bank.

According to local sources IOF fired rubber-coated metal bullets stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the marchers in the weekly march of Kafr Qaddum east of Qalqilya.

Several Palestinians including children suffered breathing problems and they were treated in the field.

Clashes erupted between settlers and IOF on the one hand and the Palestinians on the other hand during the march in Jabal Al-Arma south of Nablus.

Local sources reported that a settler was injured during these clashes.

The IOF soldiers also suppressed an anti-settlement march in Beit Dajan east of Nablus.

Eyewitness reported that IOF fired bullets stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the participants. Several citizens suffered breathing problems.

Meanwhile The IOF soldiers set up on Friday evening a roadblock on the road north of Jenin in the northern West Bank. They interrogated Palestinians and searched their vehicles.

An infantry unit of the IOF combed areas near the Jalameh crossing north of Jenin.

Three Palestinians were wounded on Friday during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Khan al-Laban al-Sharqiya Beit Dajan east of Nablus and Kafr Qaddum in Qalqilya.

Local sources said that IOF soldiers attacked a peaceful march rejecting the establishment of a settlement outpost in the lands of Beit Dajan village east of Nablus.

IOF fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the marchers. One Palestinian was injured by rubber-coated metal bullets in his foot according to the sources.

Eyewitness said that the IOF soldiers attacked citizens while they were in Khan al-Laban to perform Friday prayer. The soldiers beat one citizen with rifle butts.

Meanwhile IOF quelled the weekly Kafr Qaddum march against settlements and against the closure of the village’s main street which has been closed for more than 18 years.

Murad Shteiwi the coordinator of the popular resistance in Kafr Qaddum said that confrontations broke out and the IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal and sponge bullets and tear gas canisters at the participants.

A young man was wounded with a sponge bullet in his foot while dozens suffered breathing problems.

The youths responded to the IOF attack by throwing stones at the soldiers and throwing back the tear gas canisters.

Every Friday and Saturday marches are launched denouncing settlement activity in different areas of the West Bank. The participants perform Friday prayer on lands threatened with confiscation and clashes erupt during the IOF quelling of these marches.
