Injuries during clashes with IOF and settlers in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and settlers attacked on Saturday Palestinian citizens in Khillet Hassan west of Bidya town west of Salfit. Dozens of civilians suffered breathing problems and bruises.

IOF fired tear gas stun grenades and pepper gas towards the participants in the activity. This activity aims at planting trees and enhancing the presence of farmers and citizens on their lands threatened with seizure.

Walid Assaf the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said that the IOF soldiers and settlers blocked the activity that the commission called for and the activities of the Salfit province.

He added that the IOF had protected the settler who placed a caravan as a prelude to establishing the new settlement outpost.

The IOF also suppressed Palestinian citizens while trying to plant olive seedlings in the village of Beit Dajan east of Nablus.

Two Palestinians were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets and dozens of them suffered breathing difficulties.

Local sources reported that clashes broke out between the Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers in Beit Dajan village. IOF uprooted dozens of olive saplings and fired live bullets stun grenades and tear gas canisters.

Salim Abu Jish a member of the Popular Committee for Land Defense in Beit Dajan village said that IOF attacked the participants in the peaceful event after they tried to remove earth mounds that the occupation had placed in the Al-Thughra area east of the village recently.

Al-Thughra area is witnessing continuous confrontations on Fridays and it is threatened with the occupation’s seizure for building settlements.

Meanwhile citizens in Beit Dajan town found an unknown device which was obviously was planted by the IOF to monitor the villagers’ activity.

On Friday the town witnessed the suppression of an activity that rejects settlement activity and the establishment of the settlement outpost on the town’s lands.

On Thursday Jewish settlers attacked residents who were heading to their agricultural lands east of the village.

Every Friday the village witnesses clashes with IOF in the lands threatened with confiscation. The villagers set up a sit-in tent in the village rejecting the establishment of the outpost.
