Ten citizens were injured during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday evening near the Tayseer military checkpoint east of Tubas.
Local sources said that five Jewish settler families brought their belongings and resided in mobile rooms inside the evacuated Tayseer military camp next to the Tayseer military checkpoint.
Dozens of Palestinian young men stormed the outpost rejecting its establishment according to the sources.
The IOF soldiers fired tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at the youths. Several yoong men suffered breathing problems as a result.
Armed settlers also attacked the citizens with stones and sticks and threatened to shoot them under the protection of the IOF.
The national and Islamic action factions and Tubas activists had previously called for a mass demonstration in response to the settlers’ establishment of a settlement outpost and the seizing of lands near the checkpoint.
For his part Faza’ Sawafta a Hamas leader called on the people of Tubas to resist the Israeli occupation similar to the people of Beita near Nablus in their popular resistance.
