Injuries reported as IOF suppresses Ramallah march

Friday 9-December-2016

Dozens of Palestinians suffered breathing problems Friday afternoon as Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) violently suppressed an anti-occupation march in Ramallah.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society affirmed that dozens of suffocation cases were reported in Turmus’aya town when Israeli forces violently suppressed its weekly march.

Dozens of local residents took to the streets after Friday prayer marking the second anniversary of the killing of Palestinian minister Ziad Abu Ein at the hands of IOF soldiers.

However the Israeli forces heavily fired teargas bombs at the protesters injuring dozens of them.

During the event Ramallah governor Laila Ghannam called for continuing the Palestinian martyrs’ path.

Ghannam strongly denounced the Israeli government for closing the investigation into the murder of Palestinian minister Ziad Abu Ein who was killed by the army two years ago.

For his part the local activist Walid Assaf called for supporting resistance as the sole strategic option to end occupation.
