Palestinian Interior Ministry announced on Monday afternoon that three Palestinian workers are missing in a tunnel along the border between Egypt and the Palestinian town of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman of the ministry Iyyad al-Bezem said in a brief press statement that Palestinian Security Forces in Gaza are investigating the incident.
Media sources had earlier published news claiming that unknown group believed to be extremist armed militants abducted on Monday three Palestinian workers from a tunnel along the Egyptian border and took them into the Sinai desert. However no official confirmation has been announced yet.
