Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper on Wednesday said that Ireland is preparing a new bill regarding trade with the Israeli settlements.
The Hebrew newspaper explained that the bill seeks to criminalize the import of goods from Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and Golan Heights.
The paper added that Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Israeli ambassador to Ireland to confer about this bill.
Ireland witnesses regular calls for boycotting the Israeli settlements because they constitute a violation of international humanitarian law.
