Islamic Endowment Department (Awqaf) in Occupied Jerusalem condemned the Israeli police repeated violations at al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a press statement on Monday the Awqaf said that the Israeli police measures that were carried out at the holy site in the morning included the arrest of head of security guards and setting up a watchtower at Bab al-Rahma gate as well as preventing al-Aqsa guards from practicing their work in the area.
The Awqaf elaborated that after contacting competent authorities in Jordan and Israel the head of the security guards Abdullah Abu Taleb was released and the police retreated from Bab al-Rahma site.
