The Islamic Jihad Movement has accused the Israeli occupation authority and its prison service of seeking to take revenge on its prisoners in particular and all the prisoners in general following the Gilboa jailbreak operation.
In remarks to al-Quds Voice radio senior Islamic Jihad official Yasser Mizher affirmed that the prison service and the Shin Bet intelligence service punished the six prisoners who escaped on September 6 from Gilboa jail and were rearrested later by isolating them in “death cells unsuitable for humans.”
“The occupation state is trying to psychologically pressure the six prisoners and their solitary confinement could last for many years” Mizher said.
He highlighted the need for the Palestinian Captive Movement to take strong protest steps to pressure the occupation state to stop its repressive measures against Islamic Jihad prisoners.
