GAZA (PIC)– Khader Habib one of the Islamic Jihad Movement’s leaders in the Gaza Strip on Monday accused premier of the unconstitutional “emergency” government Salam Fayyad of holding security meetings with Zionists.
Habib in a radio statement said that such meetings should immediately stop adding that they only served the “Zionist enemy’s interests”. He said that Israel was exploiting divisions in the Palestinian arena to achieve political and security gains at the expense of the Palestinian people’s interests.
Commenting on Israeli government’s decision to free 250 Palestinian prisoners affiliated with Fatah faction the Islamic Jihad leader said that his Movement welcomed the release of any Palestinian. But he noted such a step would deepen the division within the Palestinian society.
He said that the world community must shoulder its responsibility vis-à-vis that huge number of Palestinian prisoners in occupation jails which surpassed 11000.
Habib finally affirmed that IOF incursions assassinations and crimes would not deter Palestinian factions from persisting along the path of resistance against occupation.
