Monday 24-February-2020

The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine announced that two of its members died in an Israeli airstrike on the Syrian capital Damascus last night.

In a statement at dawn Monday Islamic Jihad mourned Saleem Saleem 24 and Ziyad Mansour 23 and vowed to avenge their death.

The Israeli occupation army on Sunday said that it had launched overnight aerial attacks on targets belonging to Islamic Jihad in Gaza and Syria in response to rocket fire from Gaza.

A spokesperson for the army claimed that an airstrike targeted a facility in Damascus used by Islamic Jihad to develop and manufacture new weapons.

The spokesman said that Israeli aircrafts struck sites belonging to Islamic Jihad in the south of Damascus as well as dozens of its sites throughout the Gaza Strip.
