The Israeli occupation army on Sunday morning closed Beit Furik checkpoint east of Nablus in the West Bank preventing movement of vehicles in both directions of the road.
According to local sources the closure caused a heavy build-up of traffic on the road that leads to Nablus city and the towns of Beit Furik and Beit Dajan.
The sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli troops escorting a Shin Bet officer showed up suddenly and closed the checkpoint in the morning rush hour.
