The Hamas armed wing Al-Qassam Brigades on Sunday revealed that a facility holding Israeli captives was hit by an Israeli air strike during the 2021 Israeli military offensive on Gaza.
Spokesman for Al-Qassam Brigades Abu Obeida said on the eighth anniversary of the 2014 Israeli aggression on Gaza that a member of Qassam’s Shadow Unit was martyred and three others injured while they were guarding one of the Israeli captives after a facility holding Israeli captives was hit by the air strike.
“We have the right to keep the name of the martyr undisclosed for security reasons and we will announce it later when conditions are appropriate” Abu Obeida said adding that information about the identity and the condition of the captive will also remain confidential.
Earlier in 2020 Al-Qassam Brigades announced that Israeli captives were injured by an Israeli air strike during the 2019 aggression on Gaza without specifying their number or identity.
The Hamas armed wing had announced that it keeps the four Israeli soldiers Oron Shaul Hadar Goldin Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed in its captivity without specifying their conditions.
