Israeli army minister Benny Gantz has ordered the closure of Karm Abu Salem commercial crossing in Gaza Strip and Jalama crossing in Jenin until further notice.
Gantz ordered the complete closure of both crossings as of Thursday and suspended all entry/exit permits for residents of Kafr Dan village in Jenin including those for work purposes.
The Hebrew website i24 recalled a similar measure taken against the residents of Rummana village also near Jenin for three weeks after two young men from the village carried out an attack near Elad settlement last May.
Two residents of Kafr Dan were killed on Wednesday while carrying out an attack on an Israeli occupation army patrol near the Jalama crossing in which an Israeli officer was also killed.
