Israeli interior minister Aryeh Deri on Thursday signed an edict prohibiting head of the Jerusalem committee for Islamic cemeteries Mustafa Abu Zahra from traveling abroad.
According to the edict the travel ban that had been issued against Abu Zahra in July 10 2017 is still in effect on allegations that his presence abroad would be harmful to the national security of Israel.
The renewed ban on Abu Zahra’s travel will be effective from December 15 2017 until January 1 2018 with the possibility of extension for another six months Deri’s order says.
