The Israeli authorities have ordered a Palestinian family from Hizma town in Jerusalem to demolish a mobile facility they have near Pisgat Ze’ev settlement which was built by force on Palestinian lands.
Mohammed Askar said that his family were informed on Friday evening that they have a time limit until mid-April to demolish their facility. Otherwise the Israeli authorities would carry out the demolition and force them to pay a heavy fine.
Askar said that Israel is attempting to seize the land on which his family’s facility and other Palestinian structures are built and have been there for 35 years.
Israel is pursuing a systematic demolition policy against Palestinian buildings and houses in Occupied Jerusalem under various pretexts while the main objective is to empty the city of the Palestinians and bring more Jewish settlers to live there.
