Israel gov’t okays plan to fortify northern border with Lebanon

The Israeli occupation government has decided to fortify its northern barriers and residential and public buildings along the northern border with Lebanon.

According to Israel’s KAN channel the government approved a budget of 850 million shekels ($258 million) to start the border fortification plan.

The new border fortifications will include fences sniper posts and high-tech motion sensors and security cameras.

The channel said there were growing fears among Israelis living in the northern border areas of attempts by hostile elements to infiltrate the border following reports about an increase in the number of foreign infiltrators who seek jobs in Israel.
