“We only expect the Israeli occupier to be more brutal and barbaric against Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque” said Jerusalem-based Zeina Amr who is visiting Malaysia these days.
In an interview with the Palestinian Information Center Amr said that the Israeli establishment is working with all its security military economic and other branches to reach a purely Jewish Jerusalem.
Continuing pressure on Jerusalemites
“We expect the occupation to exert more pressure on us because they believe that this is the right time to impose their sovereignty on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa and realize the dream of the Jewish state” she said.
Israeli now believes that the Arab and Muslim rulers are seeking its favors and normalizing with it and do not care about the suffering of the Palestinians or that of the Jerusalemites. Israel is proceeding with its plans undeterred so why would it stop its criminality and aggression she pointed out.
“The Israeli occupation has exploited the division of the Palestinians to pass its racist plans” she said. “If we don’t unite and stand in the face of the occupation we will remain under pressure but the repression of the occupation will be much greater than we imagine” she added.
Presence at Al-Aqsa obstructs the Judaization project
As for the honor of presence at Al-Aqsa and the role of the worshipers it stressed that
“Presence at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque undoubtedly played a major role in protecting the Mosque and putting an end to the plans of occupation and limiting its incursions obstructing all plans that the occupation wants to implement in its courtyards.”
She gave the example of the Quran learning groups scattered in the squares of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and how they served as a stumbling block in front of the Israeli project aimed at Judaizing Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
All of Jerusalem is threatened
For this reason Amr sees the need to “take a serious view of everything that is going on in Jerusalem. All of Jerusalem is suffering and its suffering is compounded by its burdens wounds worries problems and humiliation and impoverishment that the occupation is trying to impose.”
“The lives of the people in Jerusalem have become very difficult the Jerusalemite citizen thinks only of his source of livelihood waiting for the demolition of his home or his arrest deportation or forced emigration” she noted.
She stressed that “the occupation is engaged in a battle in Jerusalem that affected all components of life and the most important is the attempt to make the people of the city busy with their own problems to move ahead with taking over Al-Aqsa Mosque but Palestinian worshipers decided to withstand and confront regardless of what might happen to them.”
Worshipers are in the eye of the storm
She stressed that “The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) began to oppress worshipers by all means. It started to take photos of them and follow their activities. Then came the stage of beatings and humiliations then arrest and deportation. The deportation is the most difficult procedure for those whose love for Al-Aqsa Mosque is enshrined in their hearts.”
“Furthermore the IOA halted medical services for worshipers and their families banned them from travel and many other measures. Even after failing to achieve their goals they began to threaten our presence in Jerusalem to uproot us from our roots” she continued.
The IOA handed Ziena Amr a decision to demolish her house under the pretext of her leadership of the Rabat project at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The decision is still valid but she said: “If they do what they want this will not deter us. If they demolish the house we will remain steadfast and we are ready to pay the price even if it means destroying our homes for the sake of Al-Aqsa.”
Malaysia is present in Jerusalem
Amr notes “I was really surprised by the extent of interest in the issue of Jerusalem and its presence in Malaysia not only at the grassroots level but also at the official level.”
She said: “The officials here have given us the opportunity to deliver them the message of Jerusalem we were happy. The message of Jerusalem has reached everyone here. We will return to Jerusalem loaded with high morale and live in the hope that salvation is close.”
At the end of the interview Amr confirmed that “this stage is very critical but we are going out of the bottleneck we are about to achieve the promise of God so we all deserve the honor of preparing for the stage of salvation from the occupier.”
